Lindsay Grace (From Outer Space)

Big Bear born and raised, Lindsay Grace Hafen has been practicing art from a very early age. She started taking art classes with Paula Bradley and Picasso’s Playmates when she was in the fourth grade, and never looked back! Since that time she has had her work publicly displayed and awarded by agencies such as Art on the Lake, the California State Fair, Robert Bateman’s Get to Know art contest, Big Bear Blues for the Zoo, and the Amgen Tour of California.

Lindsay Graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2016 with a Bachelor’s of Art in Archaeology and a Bachelor’s of Science in Biological Sciences, and in the following years went on to earn her PADI Divemaster and SCUBA instructor certifications in South Africa and Bali. Traveling and her experiences underwater have been major sources of joy and inspiration for her art, though home in California has always held a special place in her heart.

In 2018 she found herself back in Big Bear and teaching the art classes which she herself used to attend. She aspires to continue guiding children and their creativity, while also developing her career in marine biology. In 2018 Lindsay will concurrently teach art and work with projects aimed at macro algae aquaculture for biofuel and food production and the reduction of atmospheric methane.
