Children’s Art Classes

Join me for an hour long directed drawing and painting class using traditional fine art instruction. Students are taught to draw what they see using basic shapes as their foundation. Each picture is then colored and shading and details are added to create beautiful works of art. Each student is taught individually in a group setting that supports growth and independence for the student. Adult Art Classes

Similar to the structure of the children’s art classes, we will start with a traditional fine art foundation. You will learn how to break drawings into basic shapes, how to compose your work, and how to apply shading and tones. We start with a sketch, then layer soft pastels on top. Once you are comfortable with this media, you have the option to progress into markers, colored pencil, water colors, charcoal, and oil painting. We will start using pictures that I provide, but you are welcome to bring in your own photographs to paint from as we progress! Paint Parties

There are a handful of different options for paint parties! In essence I will provide the paint and you provide the party. I can come to a location of your choice, we can arrange to meet somewhere scenic for a taste of plein air painting, or you may join me on a pontoon on the lake.
